Youtube, primarily.
Learning from the person who made it? You wish.
If its not abundantly clear with my recent instagram posting, I’m trying to take ownership of my own website. The thing is gorgeous and so well built. Shoutout to Katya, she took what she could gather of our style, and put it in an incredibly aesthetically pleasing format that I hope has been useful to everyone who needs some additional information about what we are up to.
Since I was in the middle of figuring out how to get great food in front of nice customers by pleasant and eager coworkers, I did not take the time I should have to learn the workings of the website when I had a great resource in front of me. Now, I’m trying to round out some skills, and figured the updated menu on the website was an appropriate place to start. That led to the “wouldn’t it be cool if I could…” realm of clicking and troubleshooting.
I wanted to add a brunch page, and I wanted to get that page in front of our customers when they came to check out the new menu. I always get asked about bands coming up, so I wanted to provide a quick link for people to get there. I did it. I made the dreaded “pop up.” You get met with it as soon as you go to our homepage. It looks like I made it. I wish it did not. But its my child, so it could be the ugliest pop up in the world, and I would still hold some pride.
Then I made a brunch page. I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of the blog posts running down the side, and relented that I should just get writing blog posts instead. That’s why, yes, all of the dates of the previous blog posts you see here are the same, May 21. I have been tossing my thoughts in all day to fill some space, hope they are at least funny for you to read. They’ve been nice to write.
So now, I am going to go make a catering page. Ill let you know how that goes in another blog post… just give me an hour or so.
